Our Classes

At HJF, we know that everyone’s Journey is unique. Because health & fitness is a lifelong quest, we want to help you fall in love with your journey, so we offer a wide variety of classes. We also believe firmly that self-care for the mind and body are crucial to overall health, so we have a large group of Resilience and Recovery specific classes, alongside the Strength and Conditioning classes you expect from a class-based gym.

All of our classes are taught by certified coaches, and are capped in size to ensure each person gets proper coaching attention (reservations are required because of these caps).

What to Expect

At Hero’s Journey Fitness, Fitness Belongs to Everyone, and we mean that. We all work together, and every class is adaptable to every athlete. Every strength & conditioning class will also have a Recovery variant. Don’t worry about being a beginner; our coaches will help you find your place in each workout, whether you’re a Padawan or a Knight or a Master.

Most classes will have a fun, nerdy theme, because, well, we’re nerds.

For every class, dress to move - comfortable gym shoes and clothes you can move and sweat in. We’ll provide any specialized equipment, though you may eventually decide to get your own yoga mat or boxing gloves, etc.

All classes are 45-50 minutes, unless otherwise specified.

Free Intro

Anyone who joins Hero’s Journey Fitness can choose to start with our Free 1:1 Intro. This can be a scheduled through our contact form. During the Intro, we’ll talk about your needs and goals, our philosophy, and then work together learning some basic skills. The Intro is not required, but is encouraged for anyone new to our community and coaches. Intros are typically 30-45 minutes.

Bonus Action is an Open Gym-style class on Sundays between Mt. Olympus and Bossfight. Nerds can spend unstructured time working in the gym on whatever they’re pursuing, with a coach nearby to answer questions and check on form.
